And then there was one!! Mike 'da Trojan' Bradley has come out on top of this year's hoops pool AGAIN. Congrats on back to back victories!! See CBS web site for details on payouts, etc.

2004 CHAMPIONSHIP OVERVIEW

Mike Bradley, a rookie, won the 2004 Hoops Challenge Championship! He was one of nine people to correctly pick UConn as the National Champion and sits atop of the Final Leaderboard. For his troubles, Mike will walk home with $1075! Matt 'teenie weenie' Terrill gave it a go, leading the pool almost the entire time but with Georgia Tech's loss he falls back to the 5th overall spot. Jamie Pardi and Kevin / John Blazona tied for 2nd and will split the 2nd & 3rd place pot money, $376 each. And once again, Phil Malamatenios finds himself among the leaders and collecting a check from the Balckyball Fund with his 4th place finish!

Thanks to all 60 Hoopsters who participated in 2004. Once again the pool will be ready to go in 2005, so be prepared next year. If you think you got screwed and should have won some cash, I have just the remedy. Home Run Derby! This is my last pool till football season, I have PDF entries available now, shoot me an email if you are interested and I will send you an email.

In 2004, the 7th Annual Balck's Hoops Challenge will once again challenge men and women, head to head, in the ultimate NCAA March Madness Pool! Previous years pots have exceeded $1600 and we expect more cash to be on the line this year!

The pool will be run on our private web site on CBS Sportsline, all entries, points and standings will be calculated on the site. Players from last year have already been registered by CBS into this years pool, all you need to do is send in your entry fee. NEW PLAYERS are welcome, feel free to invite a friend or co-worker to join the pool, just shoot me an email to let me know they are your friend. All are welcome! Details on how to register are below! Here are the Pool Rules:

SCORING
Round 1 - Points equal the Winning Teams Seed (ie #11 seed is worth 11 points)
Round 2 - 3 points
Round 3 - 5 points
Round 4 - 10 points
Round 5 - 15 points
Final Game - 25 points

POT PAYOUT
Overall Winners: Paid out as follows:
1st – 50% of pot money, 2nd – 20%, 3rd – 15%, 4th – 10%, 5th – 5%

Round 1-5 Winners: The highest scoring entry in rounds 1-5 will be paid $50
